Firmware Update Guide

Free firmware updates allow you to update your Multicharge products with any additional features or charging support for new tablet devices, mobile phones, mp3 players, cameras and more, giving you the ability to stay one step ahead of technology and new devices. All firmware updates are provided by Cambrionix.

Instructions for Windows

Step 1: Download the updater app for Windows and run the updater app.

Step 2: Follow the on-screen instructions and select the FTDI drivers. These are required if not installed already.

Step 3: Launch the updater application.

Step 4: Make sure you have your charger connected and powered-up.

Step 5: Click 'scan' to find your product and then click 'Go' to program the new firmware onto the product.

Finished! Your product will reboot and be running the new firmware.

If any of the above steps fail, try the following:

  • Start again from Step 1.
  • Check that your product is powered, switched-on and connected to your host computer via USB.
  • Contact our support team

Note: If you wish to downgrade to a previous version, or have a custom firmware file, you will need to select your firmware file using the 'File' button in the updater app.

Instructions for Mac

Step 1: Download the updater app for Mac.

Step 2: From the Updater window that automatically opens, double-click the Cambrionix Updater icon.

Step 3: Click 'Open' at the warning message.

Step 4: Make sure you have your charger connected and powered-up.

Step 5: Click 'scan' to find your product and then click 'Go' to program the new firmware onto the product.

Finished! Your product will reboot and be running the new firmware.

If any of the above steps fail, try the following:

  • Start again from Step 1.
  • Check that your product is powered, switched-on and connected to your host computer via USB.
  • Contact our support team
